The subway station Kettenbrückengasse is only some steps away from the apartment. From there the underground line U4 brings you to Karlsplatz/Innere Stadt in one stop. Vienna's famous shopping street, the Mariahilfer Strasse can be reached by foot in only about 10 minutes. The Museumsquartier with the Museum of Modern Art and the Leopold Museum also is just a 10 - 15 minutes stroll away. If you have enough of the historic center, how about a visit to Schönbrunn castle? It is only about 15 minutes away if you take the subway line U4. It is well worth a visit.
